A view of the Pomor encampment Rynda and yoles, sailing ships with set sails, on which fishermen are standing. The encampment was in the eastern part of the North (Murman) coast of the Kola Peninsula, near the mouth of the Rynda River. Rynda was mentioned in historical documents as early as in the 17th century as fishermen’s seasonal encampment. The photo shows the wooden church of Transfiguration of the Lord built in 1878.
