The Saami followed the deer, moving northwards, to the sea coast, in summer and back inside the peninsula, to their winter dwelling places, in winter. Typical for Saami deer farming were a large deer breed and small herd sizes, and using the deer to carry load-packs in summer. Abstract by A.A. Zan'kovkaya
