Annotation:

The man was responsible for all activities outside the household domain, religious ceremonies, and activity in the community. The wife recognized the husband’s superiority, accepted his position as head of the family, and obeyed him. During festivals and parties, there was no segregation between men and women; they spent time together, amused themselves and danced.

משפחה (?). פרס, אורמאי. 1905 יהודים כורדיים. שנות . בעל היה אחראי על כל הפעילות מחוץ לתחום הבית, על טקסים פולחן ועל הפעילות הקהילתית. אישה הכירה בעליונותו של בעלה, קיבלה את מעמדו כראש המשפחה וצייתה לו. במהלך החגיגות ומסיבות, לא הייתה הפרדה בין גברים לנשים: הם בילו יחד, נהנו, רקדו.
