Annotation:

Age (13-14 years old), beauty and health increased a girl’s chances to get a husband from a good family and were decisive for a successful marriage. Marriages were concluded after the terms of the marriage contract had been defined and the bride’s ransom had been agreed. The bride’s attire was distinguished by special splendor; her beauty was emphasized by multiple decorations (we used the materials from the website https://jwa.org/encyclopedia/article/kurdish-women).

כלה. פרס, אורמאי. 1905 יהודים כורדיים. שנות . גיל (בנות 13-14), יופי ובריאות העלו את הסיכוים של בחורה למשוך חתן ממשפחה טובה ונחשבו כתנאים העיקריים לנישואין מוצלחים. הנישואים נערכו לאחר שנקבעו תנאי הסכם הנישואין והוסכם כופר עבור הכלה. תלבושת של כלה היתה מאופיינת בפאר מיוחד: היופי שלה הודגש באמצעות תכשיטים רבים (חומרי האתר המשומשים https://jwa.org/encyclopedia/article/kurdish-women).
