A sled with two whale bone runners and four wooden crosspieces interconnected with leather straps were part of the sea hunter’s set of tools and accessories among sea coast Chukchi and Asian Eskimoes. In late spring and winter, a hunter carried on the sled the carcasses of killed smaller sea mammals, like seals or ringed seals. Abstract by V.V. Gorbacheva
