Needle for net weaving

This shuttle needle was used both for making fishing nets and for weaving woolen belts and laces on a loom. On the shuttle’s end is a pin for winding threads. The needle is made of staghorn and decorated with pounced ornament engraving. Abstract by A.A. Zankovskaya
