Annotation:

The core of the Koryak women’s funeral costume is a closed-up upper garment with a hood, made from white deer skins. Features of the funeral upper garment is an elongation (“tail”) of the hem at the back, and decoration with a combined ornament of dressed white and brown seal skin, colored with a fringe of whitecoat (baby seal) underfleece. A required element is a trimming of white dog fur along the edge of the hood, sleeves, and hem. This clothing is made in advance, and finished immediately before the funeral. Abstract by V.V.
