Malicha or malica, women’s winter outer garment of grey-and-brown deer fur; it is put on over the head, fur inside. The hem is trimmed with “pandy” brown deer fur; the hood is made of brown young deer fur, with an oval opening for the face. In cold and windy weather, the opening is tightly strapped up with a red silk band typical for young women. Abstract by A.A. Chuvyurov
