Its base is a narrow leather with figured metal plates sewn on it; the belt is fastened with a metal buckle. The belt was a required element of a men’s costume, with a knife, tinder-box, and pipe suspended on it. Narrow stacking belts were worn by men only, while broad ones were an attribute of both men’s and women’s festive costume. Abstract by M.V. Fedorova
