The Nganasans and Entsi killed wild deer during their seasonal crossing of rivers and lakes in spring and autumn. This time was used for mass killing of the animals, or sticking. The hunters came rowing up to a herd in boats and stabbed animals with spears. The whole killing was divided into even shares between the hunters. Such a hunt enabled providing the family with meat and hides for the whole year. Abstract by I.A. Karapetova
