A "turli" is a scarf made of silk fabric of Turkmen origin, especially prized by the Uzbeks of the Khorezm oasis. It was part of the "lyachak" (festive headdress) worn by young and middle-aged women. It was wrapped around the head like a turban, with the end of the cloth, woven with golden-yellow threads, falling down the back. This scarf was usually part of the festive attire given by the groom to the bride.
