Sea hunter’s outfit: An important component of a Chukchi and Eskimo sea hunter was a closed-up kamleika with a hood sewn from walrus, bearded seal, or whale intestines. It was worn over a closed-up fur coat in rainy weather and before going out hunting to sea. It protected the fur garment against moisture and kept the body warm. Abstract by V.V. Gorbacheva
