The photo shows a young woman dressed in a sakh, a fancy winter fur coat made from deer skins. The sakh is richly ornamented with fur patchwork strips sewn in along the flaps and the hem. The woman has a Pavlov Posad headscarf on her head, very popular among the Khanty and Mansi. Abstract by I.A. Karapetova
