The nether garment of the Nganasan and Entsi men were short trousers, or pelvis cover. Summer trousers were made from deerskin suede. In summer, fur pelvis cover was worn over the suede one; they were made from a deer hide, fur inside. Both were decorated at the front with black and red fringe, and a decorative seam of hair from under reindeer’s neck. This pelvis cover were part of the funeral clothing set. Abstract by I.A.
