Annotation:

Bessarabia Province was formed in 1812 after its land was taken in by Russia, and became part of the Pale of Settlement. The shtetl of Yedintsy (Yedentsy) had 7,379 Jewish residents (72.3% of the shtetl’s entire population) in 1897, and 9,413 (63.1%) in 1910; it had a candle factory and a hospital, and held fairs once in a week, where cattle and sheep were sold.

חצר פונדק (במרכז) ובתים. מחוז בסרביה, אוייזד חוטינסקי, עיירה יהודית ידינצי. יהודים אירופאים. צלם מוגיליאנסקי נ'.מ'.צילום משלחתי. 1906 תמונה מודפסת. מחוז בסרביה הוקם בשנת 1812, לאחר הצטרפות שטחיה לרוסיה, ונכנסה לחתום המושב היהודי. בעיירת ידינצי (אדינץ) התגוררו בשנת 1897 7,379 יהודים (72.3% מכלל אוכלוסיית העיירה), בשנת 1910 - 9,413 (63.1%), היה מפעל נרות, בית חולים, ופעם בשבוע נערכו ירידים בהם נמכרו חיות בקר וכבשים
