Men’s riding sled of the Chukchi/Koryak type with seven arched stanchions of deer horn and birch wood arranged under the seat, with the skids turned up at the front and connected to the front bows with strings, is well suited for moving across hilly terrains of Chukotka and Kamchatka. Such sleds are widely used by deer herdsmen in deer team races on ethnic and national holidays. Abstract by V.V. Gorbacheva
