Wooden plate pointed on one end, with a slit and a latch. There is an indentation on the heel end. . The needle is for weaving nets for sable. Sable hunting with special nets was borrowed by the Chinese from local peoples (the Nanais, Orochi, Udege) in the early 20th century.
