Made of thin copper plates. The lower part is an elongated truncated cone, with a bottom soldered to its base. The upper part has the shape of inverted cone, its apex soldered to the lower part and its base forming a wide mouth of the vessel. The jiuhu vessels served to warm the Chinese vodka “hanshin” on ashes. When heated, fusel oils evaporated from the drink, which reduced the narcotic effect of taking it. Besides, the vessel shape prevented the liquor from igniting.
