The Nenets believed that the land, hills, rivers, and natural landmarks had their own patron ghosts. Pyasidai khekhe was the patron ghost of the area adjoining the mouth of the Pyasida yakha river and the patroness of the Yaptik tribe. The sanctuary of that tribe was located there. This figure having an expressive head and a pointed body divided with seven sections or ribs stood on the bank of the Pyasida yakha river in Yamal. Abstract by I.A. Karapetova
