Kayak, a single-hatch boat, with a wooden frame of narrow and wide bent battens and a wooden ring, the hunter’s seat. On the outside, the frame was covered with a dressed bearded seal skin. A hunter going sea hunting sat, wearing a kamleika, sat in the kayak and tied the stretched skirting of the kamleika around the ring. This enable the sea hunter out at sea to continue hunting in bad weather.
